About the Circuit
The Portimão Circuit, also known as the Algarve International Circuit, is a relatively new circuit in the city of Portimão, in southern Portugal. Plans for the circuit were originally announced in 2002, but due to problems obtaining funding the circuit was not completed until 2008.
The 4,7km clockwise circuit was designed by Ricardo Pina and the project – which also includes a karting track, a hotel and a technology park – was completed at a cost of €195 million. The circuit has 15 turns and its undulating nature is reminiscent of classic tracks such as Spa Francorchamps or the old Nürburgring layout.

All stands have a view of a large video screen and have reserved seats. The Main Grandstand is the only stand that is covered. There is no child discount!
