About the Circuit

A real bucket list weekend. Although the racing scene has grown over the decades, this race through the narrow streets of Monte Carlo still holds the number one spot. Monaco is always challenging and exciting. No race captures the essence of Formula 1 like the Monaco Grand Prix. Mingle with stars, VIPs and racetrack drivers, and be amazed by the many superyachts and sports cars. Travel to St. Tropez for lunch on Friday, party at Amber Lounge on Saturday night, and enjoy the race from our rooftop terrace on Sunday.

Monaco has two general admission zones for F1 fans on a budget. Rocher is a hill overlooking the last two corners of the circuit and Z1 is at the entrance to the harbour area between the Nouvelle Chicane and Tabac. We would choose Z1 for its harbour location, where you are much closer to the track than the Rocher standing areas.

Grandstands X1 and X2 are small, low grandstands next to the start-finish line and opposite the pit lane. Apart from a good view of the preparation and start of the race, these stands are not the best choice. If you decide to sit here, X2 is the best choice because it is closer to the start/finish line. There is no view of a video screen from these stands.

Buying tickets in Monaco is different to other races, where you normally buy a 3-day ticket and sit in the same seat for the entire weekend. In Monaco, most tickets that are on sale are for one, two or three days, making it attractive to mix them up and sit in different grandstands each day.

Tickets are cheapest for the first two F1 practice sessions on Friday. Friday is also a good day to take a seat on a terrace or yacht, when prices are much cheaper than at the weekend.
