Compose
Day 1 (Wednesday, March 18, 2026): Today your 6-day trip to the Grand Prix of China that will be held in Shanghai begins. Your flight will leave this evening at 20:00, directly to Shanghai and arrive in Shanghai the following afternoon at 14:00. Don't forget to bring your passport, flight ticket, visa arranged by yourself and entrance ticket! After checking in, your journey can begin. Day 2 (Thursday, March 19, 2026): Your flight will arrive at Shanghai International Airport this afternoon. Our guide will be waiting for you at the airport to then travel with you to the hotel. You will be staying in a 4* hotel in Shanghai for the next 5 nights. After checking in, you will have the rest of the day at your leisure. You can also visit Shanghai Disneyland, which is located 20 minutes from our hotel. Day 3, 4 and 5 (Friday to Sunday March 20 to March 22, 2026): The modern circuit is located approximately 35 km from Shanghai. The circuit offers a lot of variety; many 2nd and 3rd gear corners, a number of long corners and two straights. The track is wide and therefore allows for many overtaking actions. Furthermore, the weather can also provide many surprises, because there is sometimes a heavy rain shower! We will travel daily (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) at 08:00 from the hotel to the circuit by private bus transfer.

Day 6 (Monday, March 23, 2026) :

Today, unfortunately, your 6-day holiday comes to an end. Today, after breakfast, we will be picked up at our hotel for the transfer to Shanghai airport. Your flight leaves this morning, directly at 12:45, to Amsterdam. You will land on Dutch soil that same afternoon at 17:45 due to the time difference! We hope that you look back on a great adventure in Shanghai and hope to welcome you again on your next trip to Formula 1.

About the Circuit

If you’re visiting Shanghai International Circuit for the first time, it’s hard not to be impressed by its scale and unique architectural design. The first race in 2004 was built on swampland on the outskirts of Shanghai and reportedly cost $450 million USD. The 2004 race drew a record crowd of almost 200.000 local fans. The circuit, designed by Hermann Tilke, is based on the Chinese character ‘Shang’ (上) meaning ‘to take off’, and also gives Shanghai its name.

The Shanghai circuit has a stadium layout similar to the stadium section of the Hockenheimring. There is only a limited selection of grandstands, but they all offer great panoramic views over large parts of the track. The huge main grandstand opposite the pits can accommodate 29.000 spectators. The 2019 Chinese Grand Prix was sold out, this was the 1000th Formula 1 race.

All tickets are sold for 3 days (no day tickets available). China has a free Friday policy. You still need to buy a ticket, but you can sit in any grandstand you want on the first day of the race weekend.

Grandstand seating is reserved on Saturday and Sunday only. Main, H & K stands are all covered. All stands have a view of at least one large video screen.
