About the Circuit

The Canadian Grand Prix first came to Montreal in 1978, when it was held on the artificial island in the middle of the St. Lawrence River. Another race that we will definitely remember is the 2011 Grand Prix. A four-hour race, including red flags and a number of safety cars. Jenson Button made 6 pit stops (including a stop and go penalty) on his way to his heroic victory, the most ever for a GP winner.

Standing places for the Canadian Grand Prix are cheap, but we certainly do not recommend them. The circuit is known for its long straights and slow corners and most grandstands take up the best seats on the circuit. Children aged 11 and under have free access to the standing places, but you must reserve a ticket for the child. Please also note that children are only allowed on the circuit when accompanied by an adult.

All grandstands have reserved seats and a view of a large video screen. The two grandstands (Grandstand 11 and 12) on the outside of the Senna corner offer the best view of the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. There is always a lot of action in this corner, especially at the beginning of the race. With a bit of luck, you can see the cars from the start until they disappear around corner 3. Children's rates (up to 11 years) are currently on request.
